Second in the series of events titled Dialogue Talks
We participated in another international event, this time in Budapest. We visited the capital of Hungary on January 22nd 2026. The topic of this Dialogue Talks event was Ethnic-based Polarization.

As part of the Dialogue Talks series on ethnic-based polarization, our gathering in Budapest extended well beyond the panel discussion. The evening brought together four thoughtful speakers from Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic, whose perspectives opened space for honest exchange and mutual understanding.

Conversations continued informally over shared food, reminding us that dialogue often deepens in simple, human moments.

The following day, we carried this spirit into the city itself. Walking together from Gül Baba’s Tomb—a lasting symbol of coexistence and shared heritage—to the Hungarian Parliament and onward to Buda Castle, we reflected on Budapest as a place shaped by intersecting cultures, divisions, and resilience.

These shared experiences reinforced a simple truth: dialogue does not live only on stage or in conference rooms, but in stories, places, and the time we take to walk and listen together.

We sincerely thank our partner organizations: Dialógus Platform Egyesület (Hungary), Spoločná Cesta (Slovakia) and Mozaiky Platform (Czech Republic) — for their cooperation and contribution to the discussion. We look forward to continuing these conversations at the next Dialogue Talks!
