A representative of the MKD Association, together with partner organizations, gave statements on the program Duhovni utrip
Our President of the Intercultural Dialogue Association, Furkan Guner, appeared in a feature on the program Duhovni utrip on RTV Slovenia’s Channel 1 on January 24th 2026. For the television segment titled Language as an Opportunity, he met with Katja Kotnik, a representative of ADRA Slovenia, and Tamer Ibrahim from the African Centre Association.
The segment presented the work of ADRA Slovenia and the newly established so-called intersectoral incubator. The speakers shared their perspectives on activities in the field of integrating foreigners into Slovenian society, with a particular focus on the needs related to language education.

Katja Kotnik from the humanitarian organization ADRA Slovenia stated:
“For successful integration into society, ADRA is currently implementing a very important project called Impact4Values. It works to protect European values. Within this European Union–funded project, we will carry out various activities. One of the key outcomes is raising awareness among the Slovenian public about migration, integration, and how to create a socially just environment. We will mainly do this through eight awareness-raising campaigns focusing on two main themes.
The first theme is language integration—how to improve Slovenian language programs to facilitate the integration of foreigners in Slovenia. The second focuses on inclusive education, providing counseling, and informing people with a migrant background.
One of the key results of this project is what we call the intersectoral incubator. This means that we cooperate with the private, public, and non-governmental sectors to enable better strategic planning, stronger partnerships, and improved cooperation, so that together we can address migration-related challenges in Slovenia more effectively.”

Furkan Guner also stated in the feature:
“Dialogue must take place in our lives even without a project. A project is only a reason for us to cooperate more professionally and do something for society. But beyond the project, we meet almost every month, we eat together, we travel. This is about friendship, it is about humanity.”

Tamer Ibrahim, Secretary of the African Centre Association, also said:
“Language is the foundation for successful integration. That is why we need more hours and more comprehensive courses. We also need conversation programs, because in basic courses we usually only listen.”
