During the coronavirus period, it was very hard for each and every one of us to motivate ourselves to do something useful. Because we are social creatures, and when we have a lack of communication, our lives are just dull. However, as an Intercultural Dialogue association, we wanted to make our time valuable as usual by learning Slovenian.
Because we believe that learning Slovene is one of the most important steps to being integrated into the society that we live in.
We communicated with the Humanitarian Association ADRA Slovenia, and they accepted our request, and we are having a project together called “Together in Distance”. The project aims to teach the Slovenian Language with the help of Slovenian native speakers. It has started via Zoom, and 16 foreign students from Turkey got at least 40 hours of individual, personalized courses in 2 months.
Some of the students passed their national qualification exams with the highest points at their level.
The language learning project is still going on and will finish on the 15th of July.
We owe a big, big thanks to ADRA Slovenia for their professional, generous, and kind help.
