Interview with Divin Ngamba from the Democratic Republic of Congo
In our latest episode of Enolončnica we welcomed Divin Ngamba, whose journey has taken him from Congo to Hungary and eventually to Slovenia.

Four threads from the hour
From Congo, through Hungary, to Slovenia
Divin spent around ten years in Hungary, where he completed his Master’s degree in Business Development. His Slovenian journey began in 2023 with a visit to the Afriška vas festival — a visit that eventually led him to build a new life and a family here.
Learning Slovenian, with seven languages already
We talked about the challenges of learning Slovenian — even for someone who speaks seven languages — and discussed how language courses for migrants could be improved.
Education, opportunity and taking part
We also explored the importance of education, access to professional opportunities and active participation in successful integration. Today Divin works as an operations team leader, managing a team of around fifteen people.
Integration without losing who you are
One of the central themes of our conversation was that integration does not have to mean losing your cultural identity. We discussed how migrants can actively contribute to Slovenian society while remaining connected to their cultural background, and why understanding cultural and religious diversity in schools matters.
The conversation also connected with the themes we address through our EU Impact4Values project, particularly migrant participation and inclusion.
