The workshop took place on November 19th at MKD Association.
Last week, we hosted a relaxed and interactive workshop on cultural sensitivity, intended for migrants who wish to better understand everyday life and cultural differences in Slovenia. Participants from various countries registered for the workshop.

The workshop offered an open space for discussing cultural habits, unspoken social norms, and small, often overlooked differences that can significantly shape communication. We talked about examples from everyday life—from workplace meetings to coffee dates—and explored together how greater sensitivity and confidence can help us connect more successfully in a multicultural environment.

Tamer Ibrahim, activist and community organizer, and Guillermo Escalante, cultural migrant, artist, and thinker, jointly prepared the workshop, which we believe lays important foundations in the field of cultural sensitivity in Slovenia.
Participants were not just listeners. They shared their stories, cultural missteps, and interesting challenges. Through practical exercises and conversation, we created useful tools for clearer, more respectful, and smoother communication in the Slovenian context.
A sincere thank you to everyone who attended the workshop and helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
