Members of MKD and friends set off on a traditional hike around Ljubljana.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, and the city of Ljubljana also celebrates the 80th anniversary of liberation from the occupiers. On May 9th, Ljubljana still celebrates the so-called Victory Day, and Ljubljana takes pride in the title of Hero City. On the weekend closest to May 9th, the municipality organizes a hike around Ljubljana.

Every year, the people of Ljubljana set out on the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship, which follows the route where the wire surrounded Ljubljana during the occupation. The path is 33 kilometers long. Along the way, there are 8 stations where hikers can receive a stamp. With all the collected stamps, those who complete the entire loop also receive a commemorative medal.

as the organizers had already run out by the time we arrived.
In the warmer months, we will be going out more often. Stay tuned for our activities.
