November 16th marks the International day for tolerance
Today, November 16, we celebrate the International Day for Tolerance. On this day, it is important to emphasize how essential it is to respect one another, regardless of nationality, religion, language, gender, age, or way of thinking. Tolerance means understanding and accepting diversity, as well as being willing to listen to and learn from each other.

We must choose tolerance every day: at school, in the workplace, at home, and in the community. We follow it through small steps — a kind word, a respectful conversation, or a willingness to understand someone who thinks differently.
On the International Day for Tolerance, we at the Association for Intercultural Dialogue would like to share this message with you: diversity is a treasure, not a threat. Only through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation can we build a society in which everyone feels accepted and safe. On this occasion, we would like to share with you once again the well-known quote by Fethullah Gülen:
“Have a seat for everyone in your heart.”
MKD Association observes important international days by posting about them and organizing events on assigned topics. To read more about other international days follow THIS LINK.
