We have entered a new year with January 1st
Behind us is a very successful year 2025. Throughout the year, we carried out numerous projects and collaborations, strengthened advocacy efforts, launched new internal activities, and consistently created space for intercultural and interfaith dialogue, cooperation, and connection.
Highlights of our collaborations and activities in 2025:
- Successfully completed the BODE+ project in cooperation with ADRA Slovenia and the Gmajna Cultural Association, with the support of the GEtCoheSive project. The project focused on advocacy, petitions, and bringing together New Faces of Slovenia in one place.
- Concluded the international one-year project HUMELODY, activating young migrants through sport, art, and music in the fields of empowerment and human rights.
- Launched a new season of Dialogue Talks together with our international partners, with more events to come.
- Continued and expanded our regular activities, including Turkish breakfasts, Walk & Talk hiking events, the Slovenian conversation club for foreigners, intercultural cooking workshops, and Turkish coffee gatherings.
- Took part in several public events, including Štrukljifest and the Week of Cultures in Novo mesto, where we presented Turkish cuisine.
- Presented our work internationally at the festival We Live in Slovakia in Bratislava.
- Strengthened cooperation with DSO Ljubljana, where we once again prepared a presentation and hospitality for residents.
- Established new partnerships with the University of Ljubljana Botanical Garden, where we planted a tree together on the International Day of Peace, and with the Institute Without Barriers, which visited us on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
- Started workshops in cooperation with ŽKD Anatolija, organizing knitting and crochet sessions.
- Dedicated a significant part of our work to interfaith dialogue, including a visit to the Jewish Cultural Center, organizing iftar dinners during Ramadan, preparing Noah’s pudding in the autumn months, and closing the year with festive dinners and Christmas gift-giving.
We enter 2026 with great motivation, new ideas, and gratitude for all our partners, collaborators, and participants who help us build bridges every day.
