Workshop about Violence – Zavod Emma

Today we had a workshop with Zavod Emma about violence.

Emma Institute is a non-governmental and non-profit organization established at the beginning of 2000 in Ljubljana, to provide professional and free assistance to children, adolescents, and women victims of violence.

They shared their experiences with us about the issue in Slovenia and in a wider sense. We learned a lot about violence in every sphere of our lives.

Men against women do not always resort to violence, but also in school, in the workplace, and even on the street. Besides, it can also be executed by women.

So our aim was to get to know about violence and raise awareness about the issue first in our families and communities, then all over the country and the world.

We also had a practice in the local language, which was also extremely important for our community for full integration into the society. Learned some words about violence and discussed the examples that can be violent in our society.

In the end, we also had some snacks and Turkish Coffee…

We wish and plan to have more of these activities in the near future.

Thanks, Zavod Emma.
