MKD joined an ongoing project called Živa knjižnica (eng. Living Library). The project brings people from different backgrounds for visitors to “borrow” for a conversation, just like one would borrow a book in a library.
It’s motto:
Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
To participate in the event, we visited ZMŠ Krško. The theme of the event was intercultural dialogue and preventing prejudice and discrimination in our society. Our living books to borrow were our young volunteers from MKD. Our young members shared their life stories with the participants in the “Živa Knjižnica” format.
At the end of the event, we strengthened our partnership and dialogue with the youth center Krško. We returned home happier, committed to actively engaging with the issues facing our community by dedicating our time and energy as responsible citizens.
