On Tuesday, November 21, Dr. Neža Kogovšek Šalamon joined us as part of the Human Rights Forum events. She presented the asylum and migration policy in Slovenia and the European Union. We defined some important differences between certain concepts and looked at conventions from a legal perspective. We also mentioned cases in which countries have used the discretionary clause under the Dublin Regulation. At the end of the lecture, an interesting discussion developed, with participants asking many topical questions.
