City for Everyone conference focused on the issues of racism, xenophobia, discrimination, integration and anti-racist policies on a local level. The event took place on March 19th in Ljubljana.

The importance of local action in the fight against racism and the promotion of integration was discussed by representatives of city municipalities, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and migrant organizations from Ljubljana, Zagreb, Budapest and Malmö. The conference was also joined by the Vice-President of the European Coalition of Cities Against Racism (ECCAR), Mr. Danijel Benjamin Cubelic, who presented the efforts to combat racism of a coalition of more than 150 European cities that already have their own anti-racism action plans at the local level.

The conference was organized by the Peace Institute as part of the international project City for Everyone – Building Responsible Action for Inclusive Local Communities (CIFER), which has been implemented in the cities of Ljubljana, Zagreb, Budapest, Malmö and Paris for the last two years.
