On this day in Slovenia, we celebrate the Day of Rudolf Maister, a day when General Rudolf Maister, in the year 1918, with his army, disarmed and disbanded German security guards. With this event, a major part of the Slovenian national and speech area of Styria and Carinthia was connected to Slovenia.
