May 22nd and June 3rd 2025
In collaboration with the ADRA Slovenia Association, we participated in two important events within the framework of common interests to support the easier integration of foreigners in Slovenia.

On May 22nd, 2025, we met and exchanged opinions at a workshop organized by the Scientific Research Center of SAZU. On June 3rd, 2025, we attended the national conference of the Global Classroom network; the latter was organized by the Employment Service.

At both events, we met with a clear goal, to seek answers to the question:
How to provide foreigners with appropriate living conditions in which they can feel accepted and integrate into a new environment without major barriers?
This includes various areas of life, such as learning the Slovenian language, access to living space, and employment opportunities.
At the events, we:
– developed ideas on the use of community sponsorship to facilitate integration, particularly in the area of employment and addressing housing challenges,
– had the opportunity to listen to personal testimonies of individuals with a migrant background and the challenges they face, as well as proposed solutions,
– discussed challenges and opportunities in the field of employment,
– recognized and addressed the (too) frequent violations of labor rights, especially recently for citizens of non-EU countries.

We thank the organizers for the invitation and the ADRA Slovenia Association for the continuous partnership that enables us to successfully engage and make progress towards easier integration of foreigners.
